Benjam\u00edn fue diagnosticado a los tres meses de su nacimiento. Su caso, hasta el d\u00eda de hoy, es el \u00fanico confirmado en Argentina y son muy pocos los que tienen esta patolog\u00eda en todo el mundo.
A los trece d\u00edas, Benjam\u00edn debi\u00f3 ser trasladado desde Resistencia hasta la neonatolog\u00eda del Hospital Austral de Buenos Aires, donde transcurrieron sus primero meses de vida.
Antes de recibir el alta, al ni\u00f1o le hicieron un estudio gen\u00e9tico que arroj\u00f3 definitivamente su verdadero diagn\u00f3stico: S\u00edndrome de Gould.
